Life begins the moment you realize you don’t have to prove anything to anyone but yourself!

We are surrounded by a variety of people in our day to day lives. Some of these people are highly successful, while others are trying to find their way in life. We are always judged by others on the basis of our achievements and our position in life, and it is what sometimes makes us feel inferior about ourselves, especially if we are still struggling to make our mark or achieve our goals. It becomes difficult not to let being judged by others get to our nerves because it does affect us, especially when we are already struggling in our lives. When we start thinking about what others think about us, the only thing we are doing is increasing our struggle tenfold.

Your battle is with yourself, and the only person you need to prove something is no one else but yourself. You might feel the peer and social pressure from time to time, and it is natural. However, extract the positive energy from it and divert it into your efforts and focus rather than getting overwhelmed by it negatively. Do not curb to such pressure as it is only going to pull you back and make things more difficult for you.

Find and follow your passion

Our society is continually evolving, but the social stigma around career continues to remain the same as it was a decade or so back. Parents still want their children to become doctors, engineers, lawyers, and so on. While these are always excellent career choices, it is important to find what your heart truly wants to be. Finding your passion is extremely important in life, and following it is easier said than done, but it isn’t impossible.

People have left their high-paying jobs to start a small cafe for their love of food, and it has worked out for them. There are similar stories all around us, and while it may not always work out the way you want, it is worth giving it a try. It is because the pinch of regret it will leave you with would hurt you badly later on. If not now, then when? Make a practical and calculated plan for it on the side and work on it till one day when your dream becomes a reality. Also, work hard in silence and let your success make the noise. Don’t blow your trumpet too soon.

Do what you love

prove it to yourself

When you love your work, you won’t have to work for a single day in your life. It is when you love what you do and passionate about it that gives you the strength to pull off long hours and burn the midnight oil. Things won’t be easy, and there would be struggles, but the fun you’ll have on your journey would provide more satisfaction than doing a high-paying job that you don’t like. Stay focused on your goals.

Perseverance is a superpower

It is never easy to get what you want, and there would be times when you would want to give up, but it is crucial to stay on course. Perseverance is a superpower, and sometimes when you are stubborn and honest, things do miraculously fall in place. It is how the craziest of innovations that we see around us have come to light. It is how you hold up your phone that isn’t attached to anything and make a call to talk to a person sitting thousands of miles across. Do not do something to prove something to someone. It doesn’t matter what others think of you as long as you are self-aware and focused on what you want.

When you start focusing on what others think about you, it not only ruins your present but, at times, even your future. Don’t get distracted by social pressure and let the people think or say anything they want. It is the best way to enjoy your life on your terms. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you have as long as you are happy with what you have. Let people make golden palaces and dine with a silver spoon. Don’t get bothered by others because when you do get bothered, you subconsciously give them the power to control your thoughts, emotions, and reactions.

Unhook yourself from the idea that you need to prove anything to anyone. Compete with yourself and strive to improve yourself from what you were yesterday, and eventually, you’ll be polished enough to shine on your own, irrespective of what others think or say about you.
