Doodling And Using His Creative Energy The Right Way Got This 9-Year-Old A Small Illustrator Job

Doodling

Imagine a scenario where your history teacher is going through a boring history lesson and you sit there, bored, scribbling or doodling on the final page of your notebook. Now, what happens if the teacher finds out? Well – we are all aware of the natural outcome – some of us may have even faced it. You will be caught and rebuked, then you will be thrown out of the class for that period. If you continue doodling, you might even get a parent’s call. Well, for Joe Whale – life was like this. His creative energy flowed through numerous doodles and he got into trouble at school for very creative action – a couple of times.

However, the 9-year-old was not supposed to be kept untrained. His parents, unlike the traditional disciplinarians, did not want to rebuke him and let his creative energy die or get suppressed. Rather, they chose to get him into an art school which he attended after school. Here, his doodling ability was truly acknowledged.

And what do you know – Joe – the little kid – has been chosen as someone suitable to decorate the entire dining room wall of Number 4 – a restaurant in Shrewsbury in England. He also has his own website and has come to be known as ‘The Doodle Boy’. His artworks are spread out across many social media platforms.

Greg- Joe’s father – acknowledges that his son has always been in love with drawing. It seemed as if he had a gift from the day he was born – that is, in primary school when he was just aged 4. Jesse is his identical twin and he too has an inclination towards drawing.

But when it comes to Instagram and the Instagram crowd – Joe and his doodles have really stolen the heart of the internet.

When a Number 4 restaurant staff saw the doodles of Joe on Instagram, he knew he had to bring this genius’s artwork on his wall too. And, so, Joe was called over.

And according to Greg, Joe had been drawing on the wall for around 12 hours. He was in the art – he focused on every bit of it to give his best work to his first job.

The creative Joe Whale had many of his school notebooks covered with amazing doodles. So, catching him as a school teacher was not a hard task. But what could be really hard for many is to identify a genius. When Joe Whale was getting punished in school for his doodling, he would have gotten into the naughty list of any parent. They would have rebuked him and forcefully made him suppress his creative energy. There are only a few people who will give their children the creative space to ensure that their creative energy gets the right outlet, That’s what Joe’s parents did. So, many aspiring children artists are probably envious about the creative space that Joe received. But there is no denying that Joe has become an inspiration for all.

When his art teacher saw the works of Joe on Instagram, he immediately knew that this boy had a lot of talent in him. Number 4 recognized it too and had to call Joe for the artwork. Joe went to the restaurant after school to get his ‘job’ done – doodle on the wall.

When Greg told his son, Joe, that he had to work on the wall – he was really excited. He just wanted to do it as fast as possible and make it as engaging as possible.

He just wanted to put his creative flow on the restaurant’s wall and he got the chance to do it.

And The Doodle Boy shined with his doodling. Just watch how his imagination works. He may not know it but he is turning out to be a professional artist and may even form an independent business online. Best of luck to him!
