Hard Work Always Has Its Rewards: Just Stay On The Course With Patience And Perseverance

work hard

Work hard, stay disciplined and be patient. Your time will come.”

It is one quality that separates the talented individual from the successful one. It is a certainty that if you have hard work as part of your arsenal, you can do anything. Success is only possible for those whose hearts are willing and ready to embrace hard work. But there are other factors that determine success, factors like discipline and patience, that complement the willingness of a person to slog it out. There are numerous instances of people who have not been blessed by talent but have made it through sheer discipline, hard work and the willingness to endure.

The secret to living a successful life is to learn to develop our potentials. Keep working on them and putting them to the proper use. You get better as you promote them. Every other ability and talent that we might possess pales in significance when we place it before hard work.

We might call it an exceptional ability but it is nothing more than a persistent endeavor. We might have noticed quite often in life that the cleverest people are not those who make it in life. People who are customarily clever do get ahead on their qualifications. But it is the desire to succeed that ultimately determines the future. The talented get overtaken by those who continually strive in a disciplined way to be better than what they are.

No matter how old we are, it is never too late to work hard and strive for accomplishments. And work in itself can never be the sole reason for success unless that is tempered by self-abandonment. And this law is universal. Those who cannot establish dominion over themselves will find that mere hard work does not succeed.

Hard work is at the core of every endeavor but it has to be enclosed by discipline.  We need to say no to impulses and gain control of our appetites. It allows virtue, truth, and integrity to rule over our minds instead.

There have been innumerable examples of individuals who have been quite successful through patience, discipline, and hard work. But on the other hand, those with natural talent have floundered because they were found lacking in their ability to muster up the discipline and patience.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence; definitely not talent on its own. The road to success is strewn with people who have been educated, talented and were gifted genius; but sadly lacked in the department of persistence, determination, and patience.

But even talent boosted by persistence and dedication comes with its share of disappointment. We all have our fair share of failures. But we must treat them as a learning process and not as a reason to give up halfway through the race. Those who fail but have the patience and perseverance to use that as part of the teaching process are the ones who are headed in the correct direction and will taste success in the end.

Good things are sure to happen to those who wait. Patience is to be calm whatever happens in life and continuously making efforts to turn hard work into positive growth opportunities. It is having the faith to believe that it will all work out in the end. If you have a dream, you can turn it into reality. It all depends on your enthusiasm, determination, and hard work to realize it.

It is a fallacy to believe that we can skip steps and magically make it through sheer talent. But time proves that without hard work, discipline, and patience we grow less capable, we stray from our path, and get trapped in the quicksand of ennui and mediocrity. Success is a tedious process with unending hours of practice and study, its fair share of the inevitable setbacks, and the willingness to master the undeniable impatience that compels us to throw up our hands in despair.

Hard work cannot bring success on its own unless accompanied by dogged discipline and the patience of a saint.
